I am sadden by Mr. Powell’s death as I am saddened by almost all deaths. However, to make him into a deity is uncalled for. His hatred for Trump and others in his later years severely tarnished his reputation for service. I was personally unimpressed by his efforts as Joint Chief and Secretary of State but my opinion is worth what you paid for it – nothing. May his family find peace.
